This is my last post for the next 18 months. This picture represents me heading off to the big Ohio! Watch out Cleveland...here I come! I just want to thank all of you that have been a support to me about my decision to go on this mission. Sometimes I wonder why the heck I am doing this but I am always reminded that I am not my own, I am the Lord's. I want to do His will so that is why I will be sacrificing 18 months of my earthly life to serve His children on this earth. I love all of you and will miss you terribly. Please write so I can keep in contact with you. Thank you again! Until then, Sister Harmon

This post is dedicated to 2 of my best friends Aubz and Jess. We decided to do this photo shoot almost a year ago after a dear sweet boy (who used to be my Mission Prep TA) told me that I shouldn't go a mission but just choose to get married. So we decided that "today was our day" to get married. Some of the pics have us in bridal veils and white dresses, others were in awesome angel wings that Jimbo gave me from LP, others were just because we were having fun. Enjoy!

My Mission!

I have been called to serve in the Ohio Cleveland Mission with the Kirtland Church History Sights! I am very excited about this! Let me start with a story... About two weeks ago my friend Kara Leigh stood on her fire place to open her mission call. We were all very excited and knew she would be preparing to leave on Feb. 4th. Yesterday I stood on the same fire place and opened my call. We opened the EXACT same call. We will both be serving in Cleveland with the church history sights, leaving on Feb. 4th! Needless to say there was a lot of screaming going on in the home when I read the letter...my mom couldn't hear anything over the phone. So, nobody guessed Cleveland so NOBODY will be getting my eternal praise and adoration ;) Love you all!

Now that the mission is official and I am anxiously awaiting the call I thought I should get y'alls opinions on where you think I will be going...So if you would like, just reply to this post with your guess/revelation/inspiration/ epiphany on where in the world you think I will be going to serve the Lord. I will add your name to "the list" that will be present at the official opening sight. The winner will get my eternal praise and adoration! I went home for a week just a little while ago to visit my sister Ashlee and her family. This was my little buddy the whole time I was there. He must get left out by the twins cause he was dying for a partner. Any time I would even move he would yell in desperation to me, "Abbey WAIT!!!" He loves giving me kisses... at least 3 every minute. He just melts my heart :)

This is the Murder Mystery Party that my friend Jessica put on the day after Halloween. I, ironically, was given the "Head Cheerleader" part. I was so good at it that I was voted for the "Best Performance" of the night! I started to annoy myself...

I just wanted everyone to know that my mission papers are officially in!!! My goal was to have them in by my b-day and that dream has come true. So, you will all want to be on the lookout for the next post...I will announce WHEN are where I am opening the call. Then, soon after I will be telling you all where in the world the Lord is sending me to serve him for 18 months! Thank you to everyone who has helped me make this happen. I am filled with so much love and appreciation it's incred! (ha ha that one is for you Aubz). Until then...

David came down this past weekend and we had so much fun. On Saturday night we went out with my best friends Mike and Lacey Merkley. We went to Olive Garden and then played at their apartment. David went to church we me the next day and then we went up AF canyon. It was a really fun , but short, weekend.
We drove the Alpine loop. The mountains were so beautiful. This picture is my favorite because the mountain in the back was all yellow!
This picture was taken by the best photographer in the world... yep David! He put it on the car and timed it so no cars were driving in the background. Good work David!

This is my friend David Brown...also known as Farmer Brown ;) He just got back from his mission in Lima, Peru. We went on a date to Temple Square and this is a picture of us on the top of the Conference Center. He was kind enough to come and visit me when I was drugged up from getting my wisdom teeth out...thanks for your patience David! You are the sweetest! This is one of my best friends Kim! We work together at Platinum. We made masques for our corporate party and then sang to our boss the song from Phantom of the Opera! She is so funny!

The Bride and Groom left the reception through a long line of sparklers; it was so cool! This is my friend Jessica Powell that I lived with for a while this summer. Now I am living in the Harkers basement; they were kind enough to let me invade their home until I leave on the mission!

I thought that since I never have any pictures to put on the blog I should at least post some news about what is going on in my life! I started my mission papers (finally) and they should be done within the next two weeks! My mommy comes on Sat. to spend a week with Ali and I. AND she is going take care of me when I get my wisdom teeth out (I am scared to death because of the complications that happened with my gum surgery last summer). I am living in Highland with Jessica Powell and her family until I leave for the mission; they have been so great and I have the entire basement to myself! I will just continue to work for the next couple of months and then I am off to where ever the Lord needs me to be! I can't wait to see what's placed before me in the next couple of months!

I have been missing family a lot lately because everyone is so far away and I have been all alone here in Utah. But... my baby sis Ali just moved in with me this weekend! I am so excited to have her here. She is going to be working in Provo for the summer earning money for school! I love you Ali and and I am so glad you are here with me!

So I went down to Cali with some friends for the weekend! It was a blast. I also went down to see a friend who is selling security systems for the summer and say goodbye because I was going to move to West Virginia before he got back but now...I guess I might see him before I leave. So... I am not moving afterall! I plan on staying in Provo the rest of the summer until the fall semester starts. Then, in Sept. move to West Virginia until the mission. Seriously, who knows what will happen in the next couple months! I just can't make up my mind on what I want to do. Sheeesh!!!

This is my new nephew Dax Redick Mitchell who is only 8 days old. I got to spend the weekend with him. He was wide awake because he had the hiccups; it was so cute.

Mother's Day Weekend

When Aunt Abbey babysits we have a lot of fun! I started telling Book of Mormon stories and then Bostyn wanted to play Nephites. She went and got head bands from the bathroom and put them on us. Bostyn was Nephi, Bailey was Sariah, and I was Sam.
Grandpa Harmon had a birthday! My entire family looks a lot alike so if you meet one of us you will know we are all family!

Big News!!

I am moving to West Virginia in one month to work for my papa L. Jay for six months at his amazing school Greenbrier as a mentor for the girls. I am so excited! I have always wanted to be a part of the school and now I get my chance! Then...in Aug. I am submitting my mission papers to serve the Lord for a year and a half! Seriously I am shaking as I type this! I am just so anxious; I can't wait. If anyone feels like they are the last to know don't feel bad. My parents were the only ones to know for 2 months- not even Ashlee knew about this one until Monday!

I got to leave work for a whole week and play! I first went up to Spokane and spent a couple days playing with the Corrigans, my Mommy, and Ali. We then drove down to Heyburn, ID to suprise my Grandma Berna for Mother's Day; she didn't know that any of us were coming and we were all early to her church. She was so touched. When she first walked in and saw some of our faces she thought she was hallucinating and then she started bawling when she realized we were really there. So, I got to see a ton of the Harding side on Sunday and then on Monday I went to my Grandpa Harmon's b-day party and got so see a bunch of that side. It was amazing!
